Our director, Dave Woolf, started his barbershop career his freshman year at Cornerstone University with his quartet "The Boiler Room Four," who later became "The Spokesmen" who toured the midwest in 1982. He later joined the then Mall City Barbershop Chorus in 1987 as a member of the baritone section. After a long hiatus, he rejoined as director in 2006. His former quartet "Go 4 it!" placed third in the district twice and his current quartet “The Great Woolf Quartet” placed second in 2024.
He is a retired music teacher and holds two BA's in Music Ed. from Cornerstone University and Calvin, and a Master's from WMU. He also directs the Parchment Community Choir and also enjoys community music events like the annual Messiah Sing and the Merry Tuba Christmas, where he performs on a 1923 Conn Double-Bell Euphonium.
It has been proven many times that choral music is good for you in so many ways!
